By way of introduction, I’m David George, the Executive Director of Variety Children’s Lifeline, a great organization that saves and improves children’s lives daily.

We are in the process of updating our website and have started this new blog. Thank you Sharon Sausedo, our computer consultant and volunteer for bringing Variety Children’s Lifeline to the 20th century.

We have asked our volunteer doctors to participate by giving updates from the field, highlighting the lifesaving work with children and families in over twenty countries worldwide. In fact, last year, Variety Children’s Lifeline helped over 4,500 people through clinical and surgical medical interventions.

Also, one hundred percent our work in the field is done by volunteers — Variety Children’s Lifeline has the best doctors, the best nurses, the best medical practitioners, the best anesthesiologists, the best care givers and the best organizational volunteers who spend their time (including valuable vacation time) and talent when they participate in a Variety Children Lifeline mission to save the children. Thanks to all of you for making it happen!
